Once in a while I use an stomp box on a gig. Should I run the output to the passive or active input on the amp? It's a Carvin R600. I've used both without problems, but don't want to run into trouble either. BTW, I'm using a Carvin LB20 (active) and a Zoom B1U box.

Logic would tell me to use the active input since the box is powered, but again, most amps don't have the option so I assume they are in what would be considered the passive mode.

    Thanks!

Neither mode will damage the amp. The only difference is typically that the active input has less gain. You can choose whichever one works best with the output level of the stomp box.
