ACTIVE VS PASSIVE

    I have both an Active and a Passive Bass, and was wondering what TB people had to say - about the pros and cons to both:bassist:

    It's just whether you want a preamp on your bass or not really.

    Short answer - Whatever sound you like the best.

    Yes that is true.
    My only issue is the prices of 9 volts raising with the gas prices. HE HE

    I've never considered the presence or absence of a pre-amp when I've bought a bass. I buy them because they sound good. And I have good sounding passive and active basses. I got my P bass because it sounded freakin' great as is. I got my Laklands because they sounded freakin' great as is.

    Ignore stuff like that and play your instrument.
