AD712 op amps

    I want to switch out the op amps in my old Peavey alpha tube bass preamp, but I can't find a supplier that will sell me less than 5,000 at a time ( I need 7 ) If I am off topic, please help me find my way to the correct forum!

    I think you're in the right forum. I know that experience you had. Radio Shack might be able to order some, or maybe Parts Express (http://www.parts-express.com/) could help. Sometimes small orders of unusual parts can get expensive, though. If you can't find what you're looking for at a reasonable price, it may actually be more cost-effective to have a repair shop handle it. Maybe Peavey has spare parts you could buy - so try that avenue, too.
