Adam Clayton and Lakland

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by relman, Dec 13, 2001.

  1. Alright...has anyone has seen the new U2 video (for the song "Kite" - the video is just them playing a live concert)???

Did anyone notice the bass adam was playing? It had a lakland-type bridge and headstock, so i'm guessing it was a lakland...but what model of theirs is Jazz-style with a maple board???

  2. That would be the Joe Osborne.

Even though the only photos that Lakland has of the Osborne are of its early '60's L configuration (alder body w/rosewood), they also make a '70's version, even though this is contrary to the original intent of the bass. You can get an Osborne with a natural ash body and a maple board if you want one.

  5. that's the one!!!!!!

    thanks!
