I don't often jump into the BP magazine Woodshed articles, but I was intrigued by this months.

I've been working with the first example for a few hours and I'm getting really excited. It is totally opening my mind to possibilities and things I'd never have come up with. And I must say - the 2 taboos of the bass playing realm are really helping - tab & my metronome.

I memorized each of his measures - then kinda just jammed on them making my own stuff up loosly based on what is written. Kept speeding the metronome up - and my hands started to memorize lots of phrasings and lines. This looks like it's going to totally get me out of the creative funk I've felt I've been in for quite some time.

Just thought I'd share that - ya'll might want to take a look.

All hail Adam, metronomes, and tab. I wish Jeff could see me now.
