All Jamaican stuff...Tings & Time in particular...but there's like 20 of them that run through my head all the time.

I'll Take you there by the Staples singers.

I'm currently stuck on the theme song to "Trading Spaces" and that "Feudin' Banjos/Dueling Banjo's" bit from Deliverance. It's fun to play those at gigs while the guitars are tuning up and watch everyone's ears perk up! :D

The first 3 or 4 bars of Donna Lee have been playing through my mind a lot lately, and I can't get it out! That's an addictive line to hear/play for me

Thanks, @-hole. Now all I can think is "Looking back on when I was a little nappy-headed boy..." :D

That song is truly one of my favorites.

    You're most welcome, jerkoff.

    ;)

    ...make ya feel better:

I used to be in a house band in New Orleans, Bourbon St. club. Played 6 hours a night, 5 nights a week, blues, funk, and Motown (aka REAL R & B). We'd do "I Wish" at least 2-3 times a night (lots of turnover in those clubs, you could easily get away with repeating the GOOD stuff).

One night, after I'd been there for at least a year...the band leader calls for "I Wish", 2nd time of the night, and I totally BONKED. Couldn't remember how to start the line to save my life. No, I wasn't drunk or anything of the sort, just a complete mental meltdown/mind fart.

Everyone started at me in total disbelief for what seemed like 2 hours (but was most likely about 10 seconds), I finally looked at the bandleader and said "Pick something else, QUICK! I can't remember it!!!"

Two bars into the next song, it came back to me....

...I've never felt more STOOPID onstage in my life.

    :help:
    :p

beethoven's "Ode to Joy" has got to be one of the catchiest melodies ever written. I find myself slipping it into the weirdest places during solos/songs. I'm sure I drive people crazy with it but I'm hooked.

    A great song.

I like the basslines that Thompson chap played on early Elvis Costello songs. Those just keep knockin' me out.

I don't know HOW Sting could sing while playing that verse line live...

...that had to be next to impossible...

That happened to me on "Beat It"...I couldn't remember that riff to save my life, so I'm just playing 1/4 notes with the Open "E". Our female singer is staring at me like she had just **** her pants. I think I finally got it together by the 2nd verse.
...and the band leader read her the riot act for being unprofessional!
    ;)
