Can somebody please explain to me how one of these works? Warwick has one called the "Just-a-Nut" i believe, but they don't really explain how it works. Pictures? Anybody sell them? Thanks.

  2. the " old ", brass just-a-nut are like this :

you have a nut with slightly deeper-than-normal dents in it, in the middle of the dent is a hole with a screw in it. raist the screw and the string gets raised.. lower the screw and the string lowers too :) this one had individually adjustables..

the new, composite just-a-nut has 2 screws in it.. if you raise/lower the left one, the E & A strings will raise/lower, and for the right screw it counts for the D & G strings ( in a 4-string example that is.. )

    :)
