I see a lot of kids on Youtube with lots of subscribers so this motivated me to try to make my own account. I know it is unlikely that I will be super famous but I have played so much music in the last couple years and never share it with anyone so I just thought I might as well upload some. Here is a new cover I just played and uploaded.

I don't know how to get more viewers and subscribers. Does anyone here have a popular account? I was thinking I should brush up on some popular songs I played before that people might think are hard (Metallica, Dream Theater, etc) and maybe focus on current popular music, video game music, cartoons, memes, and stuff to cover the most people.

  2. Very nice! A lot of people on YouTube are getting huge amounts of subscribers just listening & reaction to old songs. You may be able to gain an audience because of which songs you play. They’re getting big amounts of subscribers playing well known Classic Rock from the ‘60’s and ‘70’s. However, if you play the entire song, too much like the original, they sometimes remove because they consider it copyright infringement. No matter what songs you play, concentrate on the popular ‘catchy’ bass parts people will recognize. There are many posts on TalkBass, about what people’s favorite bass parts are from songs.
