Looking for the best/most efficient way in connecting a pair of D112XLTs to an SM-500. Bridge mono out to one cab linked to the other cab, stereo out to each cab, etc?

    Specs for the SM500 are:
    Bridge/Mono Mode
    500 Watts @ 4 Ohms
    400 Watts @ 8 Ohms
    250 Watts @ 16 Ohms
    (minimum load = 4 Ohms)

    Stereo Mode (per side)
    300 watts @ 2 Ohms
    250 watts @ 4 Ohms
    150 watts @ 8 Ohms
    (minimum load = 2 Ohms)

Then the Eden cabs are rated at 250 Watts RMS (at 8 Ohms).

Just wondering if anyone else is using this combination of head/cabs or if anyone has advice in the most efficient way of connecting this up.

bridged mono out to one cab linked to the other cab. then the cabs get
250 alleged watts each. whatever it is, its plenty loud i'm sure.

for medium & lower volume gigs i might run stereo 8 ohms per side for a
    possibly tighter sound YMMV

Yeah, I agree run it bridged mono and link cab to cab. I had a SM-400S for about 9 years and it ran way thumpier in mono than stereo. Stereo is very clean but in a gig situation I usually wanted more bass than stereo would offer. SWR is clean and clear either way you slice it but mono worked best for me to get big sound out of this type of amp. I used it with a Goliath III 4X10 (8ohm) and BIG BEN 1X18 (8ohm)

+1 to Jelly's reply. Either way would work, since the cabs are identical.
