advice on more pieces

Discussion in 'Music [DB]' started by fingerstyle, Jul 13, 2005.

  1. Hey,

I'm new on the forum but I've been playing double bass for about 7 months and electric bass for six years. I just wanted to get some advice on some pieces to look out for; I'm runniong out of solo pieces to play on double bass!

To help you out in helping me out here's some pieces I'm already playing...

    The Elephant - Saint Saens
    Sonata in E Minor - B. Marcello
    Spanish Dance No.2 - by someone I can't spell.

I know theose pieces are pretty varied, but they're my favourite so, yeah! Any help would be... helpful!

All of the Marcello and Vivaldi sonatas are valuable pieces to work on. If you're feeling particularly ambitious you might want to take a look at the eccles. Happy bassing.
