I'm thinking of selling my old bass, now I've got my fretless. Just wondered if I could get a little advice on how much to ask for it, I really don't know how much second hand basses go for, and I've not seen this one advertised second hand anywhere. It's a Legend Jazz Bass (Fender Jazz Bass copy) - £130 new (a beginner's bass really, but a decent one IMHO) in very good condition, coming up for five years old.

The residual's on sh gear is usually between 50%-75% of the new price (average discount not RRP). The exceptions are vintage gear and small production high interest items.

The biggest problem with that bass is that it doesn't have Squier on the headstock. We are not talking quality here (as the item is as good or better and might even have originated form the same factory) but the perception that the brand is better.
