I'm looking into expanding my current setup
(SWR Goliath Jr & SWR Son of Bertha) and want a fuller warmer tone
    Preamps used :
    - Hevos Dual Tube Preamp
    - Ampeg SVP-CL
(- Line 6 Bass Pod Pro)

    After reading tons of posts
    I'm still not decided on a 212 cab or 2x 12 cabs

Keeping availability and budget in mind I've narrowed it down to these configs
    - GK NEO 212 + GK NEO 112
    - GK NEO 112 + GK NEO 112
    - GS-112 + GS-112NT
    - GS-112 + GS-112
    - Epifani T-212 UL

I mainly play Pop and Rock

Because I live in Europe the following brands are not available or are just too expensive (Bergantino, Schroeder, Accugroove)

    All advise is welcome

    Full and warm.

Yes. Aguilar GS112 + GS112 will do what you want.

I have read many many threads about 112 cabs. People who like the Aguilar seem to like the sound. They say it sounds good. People who like the Bergantino say that they like how it sounds "in the mix" when playing live. Remember that what we like in our own bedroom may not be what sounds best when playing on stage live with others. We bass players usually like a warm, low, mid scooped sound, but a clear, flat or mid boosted sound may sound better between the bass drum and the guitar.

I think you have done the work, and selected a group that will do what you want. Now it is down to what you want, what you like, maybe even what you like the looks of.

I agree for the most part. I have two of the Aguilars and one GKNEO112.
If I need only one 12 cab however, I tend to favor the GK because it has a more round sound, with much more mid presence.

The Aggies seem to have a more polished sound compared to the GKNEO series. I think 2 GK112's stacked or a GK NEO 2-12 would be great.

The Epi T-212 would most likely be the very best choice.

i had a gs 2x12 and switched to two gs 1x12 cabs because it sounded
alot tighter and more controlled to my ear.

Our band plays everything, jazz to heavy rock. The Epi's manage to cover the full tonal voice spectrum. I'm using the 410UL but I'm in the process of buying two 112UL,s. I use to use the T212, sold it recently because the portability of single 12's is easier for me these days.

  6. I really enjoy my two 1x12Ul's. They sounds great and is easy to transport. Amazing light! Use one on smallere gigs and both at large venues.
