Class D amps have become increasingly popular due to their efficiency, and they can be made so small and light. However, there are numerous problems inherent to Class D amps (noise, distortion, cut-off) especially if they are used in limit mode. The overall performance depends very much on the design and the efficient use of controls and protections to guarantee proper functionality. AER has done their homework to make that happen with Head One!
