After seven years I got the live sound I was looking for

  1. I just wanted to kind of relay my joy in the past year of performing. I've always wanted a very, very aggressive tone while maintaining the fundamental of the note and the character of the bass. This year I finally figured it out.

    My Stack -

    Warwick Thumb BO - 2004
    Mesa Powerhouse 1000
    Gallien Krueger 1001 RB
    Tech 21 RBI

Various Knobs have been played with.

One of our most recent live sets (Style: Progressive Rock... sort of) -

I know it's not for everyone, but I LOVE IT! Thank you for listening and I hope all of you find your holy grail of tones.

Sounds great, I really like the tone! Great band too!

One question: Is your drummer's initials actually BR?

  4. Drummer's initials are BP :)

Great! Now cancel your TB membership before you start messing around with it again and don't like it anymore! :cigar:

  6. Imagine how impressed he would be with your Wal through his rig. Probably would just go ahead and burn the W

Lots of Rock outta that GK! Not a genre I'm real into but you guys do it well. You and the drummer lock nicely.

  8. Thanks 4Mal. As for the Wal bass I've played them and while they are amazing instruments, I prefer my Thumb. I will not be burning anything anytime soon lol. I still have my MIM fender J, which still sees occasional action.

  9. Hi,

Yes, nice tone. I watched Part 2 also. You get a great tone with your pick too.

    Thank you for your indulgence,
