aguilar db924 vs sadowski preamp vs sansamp

    well the title says it all,are the effects in the sansamp worth getting, and what are the sonic/quality advantages in all of them.

    I've owned them all.

    Aguilar wins for tone, slightly better than the Sadowsky.

    Sansamp wins for distortion/grit, but its tone/DI quality is so-so.

    Sadowsky wins for pedal layout/features/DI quality.

    if you search you'll lost of prior discussion on this. There's obviously personal preference coming into to play, as well as different needs, so what I recommend based on my requirements might not fit your needs. Here's what to remember about each unit, hopefully that'll help you cut the list down:

    Aguilar is 2 band, boost only, no di
    Sadowsky is 2 band, boost only, has di
    Sansamp is 2 band,boost/cut, has di and other od fx
    There's also the mxr m-80, 3 band with di and dist fx
