I recently paired up my EMG DC pups with the Aguilar OBP-1, and the batteries don't last more than 3-4 weeks. Is this common? Or did my tech suck out on the wiring somewhere? Thanks for the help.

That could be a wiring problem. I'd hope you know that you can't leave the bass plugged in when you aren't using it, so I won't go into that.
Chances are the stereo jack could be wired wrong. The RING part of the jack connects the battery when a plug is put into it. It turns the system on, basically. If the circuit is complete all of the time, it will drain a battery. Usually, though, they go a lot quicker than that.

    That's what I was thinking.
