I installed, or I should say, tried to install an Aguilar OBP1 preamp in my Warwick Streamer LX 6 (Basslines soapbar pickups)

Issue n°1 : no sound when the balance pot is in central position. when I unwire the red cable on the balance pot (see the first drawing on www.aguilaramp.com/html/support/downloads/diagrams/diagramobp1.htm ) i get some sound, but I think it's "wrong".

Issue n°2 : The sound is distorted!

Issue n°3 : No idea how to ground the whole thing. but when I touch a pot, I can hear a lot of radio stations

    thanks for helping me.

did you wire it exactly as per the diagram?
Obviously you also spliced in the active pickup battery wires with the red battery wire and obp-1 red wire?
Apart from that, I can't really help too much more without pictures

Try wiring it like this instead: http://www.stewmac.com/freeinfo/i-4137.html

I had the same problem when I installed a blend pot in one of my basses, and I found out that the diagram I had been following was opposite of the diagram above, so I rewired it and that fixed the problem.
