I just ordered the OBP3 for my Marcus Miller Jazz, and I thought I read it could be run either 9 or 18 volts. Which is the better setup? I am a fingerstyle player looking for mid punch if that helps.

    Thank you.

If you have the space for two batteries, go for 18 V.

What he said.. I'll never have a bass with less than a 18v. powered pre again.

If you don't have the space, don't worry about running 9V. I'm doing that with my OBP-3 with no problems.

  6. What are the practical differences between running 9v and 18v? I'm considering putting an OBP-3 in my Warwick Thumb (which already has two 9v batteries) so i'm sure I would run it 18v but im curious as to what the differences are.
