Aguilar on a G&L???

    is it possible to put an Aguilar pre-amp on my
    L-2000???

    What other pre-amps can I put in it?....mmmmmmmm...Fodera?

    You could, if you wanted to. I thought about it because the pre-amp on my L-2000 isn't working properly but it sounds AWESOME passive. I might eventually do it anyway.

    I was going to try to wire it as close as possible to the original L-2000. Keep the series/paralell, p/u selector & pre-amp on/off switch (no treb. boost) but I have no time right now since I'm always on TB.....


    ....I mean, taking care of my kids. ;)

    do you think that it would be a good idea?

    why no treble boost?

    well i'm looking for a Gary Willis type tone.

    I've never heard my bass through a nice rig so I don't know it's real capabilities. So maybe you can judge the tone for yourself and tell me if I need the Aguilar...but I know Willis uses a 2-band Bartolini but he endorses Aguilar...Ahh! I don't know.

    does my bass have the tone i'm looking for?
