Anyone out there have a chance to try this combination? I'm considering this pairing with a Tone Hammer Amp.

Did you ever do this? I’ve got two SL112’s and SL210 on the way. Thinking about getting a 115 and picking the best combination.

Nope, one opinion I got was that the 115 would most likely over power the 112. I decided to go with a pair of SL112s. I'm very happy with this setup. IMG_0447.jpg

I was at Aguilar the other day and we were asking the same. They mentioned trying the 212 with the 115. We didn't have time to try unfortunately, but I would love to hear that. That 115 is one incredible sounding cabinet. They are full frequency. Two 115's would be incredible.

I’ve been searching for a used sl 115 to pop up for several weeks. They must be amazing cabs because nobody seems to want to sell theirs off! I want one to go with my sl 210.

That's also one of the few 10" speaker cabs I've ever liked. Sounds big.

Yeah, that 115 is something really special. I can see why finding a used one would be difficult!

I had the SL115(4 ohm). It was a big sounding cab but I didn't care for the tone of it. I just picked up 2 SL112's in Royal Purple and love em. However I found that they sound much better when you put an amp with more power to em. 250 watts per cab like the TH500 has is ok, but putting 400+ watts per cab really makes em shine. I suspect many of the reports that mention the SL112 farting out is due to not enough power. btw, I don't use high power amps for volume, I use the power to give me a more punchy authoritative tone at any volume.

I was listening to all of the SL cabs through the AG700. The extra power definitely helps.

I play a TH700 through two SL115s and it is absolutely awesome.

Do they smell nice as you're cooking them? :)

My amps come with volume knobs to control the heat and keep them from cooking. ;)

In actuality the volume control has no bearing on the power that the amp is capable of putting out.
