Aguilar TH 500 + Cab OR Markbass LM 800 + Cab???

    I've got a chance to pickup one of these 2 combinations:

    Aguilar TH 500 with a SL 410 cabinet for $1800

    OR

    Markbass Little Mark 800 with Markbass 104 HF 4x10 cabinet for $1000

    In your opinion, which is the best bang for your buck based on these prices.

    (Or do you not recommend either and think I should just get the Fender Rumble?)

    I was a Mark Bass guy, now I'm an Aguilar guy. I 'feel' the Aguilar bass, I 'hear' the Mark bass. To me Markbass is modern/accurate, Aguilar is full/punchy. There is a low frequency that I can feel on the Aguilar, that is not present on the MarkBass, probably unnoticeable by most, ymmv.

    The MarkBass package is a bigger discount over reference retail pricing, I think, but there's also the question of which one you actually find easiest to get a sound that you like.

    Aguilar all the way!
    Sadowsky & Aguilar are a great combination. Lots of top players go that route.
    I've never been happier since I made the connection.

    Thanks ya'll...

    A short while after posting this, my back got into an argument with me over the 4x10 cab thing.

    So I just ordered a Phil Jones d400 and a lightweight c4 cab. Hopefully those will hit the spot.

    If things don't work out with the Phil Jones stuff I'll give Aguilar shot.
