mods: This might be better suited to effects. As its a preamp went this forum if this is wrong placement please move. Ok. I just got an Aguilar tone hammer. I tried to find one local to try out but just couldn't find anyone who owned one or stocked one for me to even see in person before I ordered it online. That being said what a fantastic preamp. This thing sounds awesome and was exactly what I was looking for. The problem. How the heck do you mount this thing to a pedalboard? I've been looking at it and based on the shape of the back of it and the thumbscrew that holds the battery in how exactly did you guys manage to board mount this? The only thing I can come up with is remove the feet and replace the screw with something more flush mount. that or maybe screw mount the device to the board directly with straps or studs. How did you guys work around this? Oh yea one other thing. From all the pictures I assumed it was black when it is in fact dark green with silver and gold flakes in the paint. Who knew. -Rav
You would think. The unit has rails down either side that stick down 1/8" farther than the rest of the bottom of the unit. The rails have rather large feet that stick down another 1/4 inch. The feet could be removed of course but then there is also a thumbscrew that holds the battery door on the unit dead center in the bottom of the unit that sticks down almost as far as the feet. And if you remove the screw it removes one whole side of the pedal from the unit leaving a large gaping hole towards the footswitch side of the pedal. Its almost like they engineered it so velcro can't be used. -Rav
Hey there.... Take the feet off. Take the battery box screw out. (Unless you have a pedal train...it actually works great on that design) Get the power adaptor. Velcro the bottom and there you have it. dan
