I'm assuming this is a series II 600 watt model. Now I just have to decide if I really need the extra 200 watts for the money of a new series III. This might sound like a strange question, but would it fit into a pedal case? Like a boss BCB 60?
It is the 600 watt model. I don't know if it will fit in that case. The dimensions are 10 X 6.5 X 3.1 inches.
Not only the extra 200 watts, but the Series III are designed to be stable at 2 ohms, while the Series II isn't guaranteed to be (my SII cuts out regularly if played through a 2 ohm load). Chris
Thanks Although I haven't tried it myself several guys on the forums here have used theirs safely at 2 ohms including Jorg Schroeder. The consensus seems to be that as long as you are not pushing really hard it is stable. While more watts is always nice I've used this amp several times in very loud settings and always had more than enough juice. If you really need to crank it at 2 ohms go for the series 3 otherwise you might as well save a couple hundered bucks.
I've had no trouble driving any cabs (total load at least 4 ohms) using my Focus 2 SII, and it does sound killer, people! Gobs of clean power -- my Accugroove and EA cabs are very happy sitting in front of this amp. Bump for a great amp... Chris
It is still up at ebay. Click the link above to go to the old auction and then click 'View seller's other items' on the right to get there. I will end the auction early for TBers if you want to buy it from me directly. PM me if interested.
Ah... those were your auctions? I didn't realize. I threw the opening bid on both of those just to keep 'em in my notification list. (Yeah, I know I can add them to my watchlist, but throwing a bid on something seems to get the action going sooner... it's just a little courtesy for the seller, from my POV). I'm wishing you better luck on this auction than the first. PM on the way, just for grins. 'rick
