i've noticed since i've downloaded the new version... i often get a "Runtime Error" pop up saying sumthing about a C++ Visual Library error...it says i need to close AIM...so i do... then a the illegal operation window pops up...i click details...and this is what it says "AIM caused an invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.DLL at 0177:bff9d709. www.trillian.cc It is an all inclusive and free(unless you want the pro version) chat client. It connects to AIM, ICQ, IRC, MSN, and Yahoo!. It will even do multiple usernames on some of them. I have two yahoo id's and use them both with this program.
tmo, bud, ya took the words right form my mouth!! i remember my brother installed the new AIM, I never used it, but he said it was incredibly unstable and un-installed...
im a linux user, so i deal with that kind of thing almost every day. i feel your pain. the AIM that aol makes for linux absolutely sucks. no direct connect capabilities, no font capabilities, no icon capabilities, and font resizing is in html. the thrid party clint that my distribution came with is 10x better than IT, and it is about 5x better than the aim for windows. aol makes me sick, i just use their oscar servers.
it brings it up cuz something in it is being picked up by C++ that isn't correct cuz it prolly still has bugs in it since its new
