Akai and Digitech sound samples

Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by Freaky Fender, Jun 25, 2003.

  1. Thanks to TECX and his generous money order (Q tron is in the mail buddy!)I've been choosing to get either the Akai Deep Impact, or the Digitech Bass Synth pedal. Also, i've been looking at used Korgs. I'm looking for an Envelope/synth pedal for 100 and under. I'm looking for sound clips of the two, and also i'm open to recommendations and other options.

I havnt had much expierene with the Digitech synth other then playing with it at Guitar Center, but I do like it. BUT, i think the Deep Impact is so much cooler. I just picked up one off of ebay after listening to it, and my new LOVE for AKAI pedals (i have a unibass also). Theres so many options to choose from on it. 9 memory settings. so many ways to tweak it. Sounds range from the funked out 70's moog sound to the cheesy 80's Van Halen synth sounds. Many different settings and ways to adjust sounds. theres only 2 minor things i dont like about it. 1 is u need a seperate foot switch to go down in numbers (the toggle just goes up, so if u have a 3-3 setting and u go to a 4-6 u need to keep pressing to get back to 3-3 hope u get me), and the sound from a chord isnt chrisp at all. Other then that its two thumbs up. If u go to http://www.akaipro.com/global/download/dloadfs.html under AUDIO DEMOS theres some Deep Impact samples, also some samples at http://www.geocities.com/basseffects/akai.html
