Akai Headrush looping

Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by parrott, Apr 20, 2003.

  1. How long a time does it have in it's looping function?

Zzounds says 12 seconds, some of the Harmony Central reviews say 24 seconds, I've seen 29 seconds (I think), and there's nothing on Akai's site that says.

  2. I dont know the exact time but it its pretty damn long... id say 24 seconds... remember it is pretty damn difficult to loop perfectly though... (and they need to be PERFECT if your playing with in a band)

  3. I knew that, I'm gonna need quite a bit of practise.

12 with overdubs, 24 without overdubs. Aprox.

  5. Why so short with overdubs?

Leaving room for the additional audio I guess.
I don't know exactly how it works, or how many overdubs you can do.

  7. I prefer to sample shorter loops with mine. This way if i mess up the timing it can be quickly remedied. With practice, you can actually become quite deft in your seemless sampling. Somedays i am spot on..others not so. I find it is best to have a relaxed clear mind. When I stress about it too much I often mess it up.
