I'll be in Sante Fe next week, flying in via Albuquerque...I've heard there's a nice DB shop in Abq, and I'd like to pop in for a minute. Anyone know name/addy/phone for this place? Is it Robertson's Violin shop? Anything in Sante Fe? Thanks, Alan

Yep, that's the place. I would highly recommend them too. When I lived in LA, I would mail my bow to them for rehairs cause they are the best. Huge selection too.

Just in case someone else searches for them later...their webpage is not that great, but I look forward to visiting them!

Ask for Aaron. He is the bass specialist. Good guy and can play the *&^& out of the bass.

  5. If you have a chance to check out a "Grunert" bass I would love a report/review. I know they are "high end" but dreaming is still free and I've never seen or played one.

Good luck and be sure to tell us about your visit when you get back.

I would definitly visit thier shop. My stand partner went there & bought a bass over the summer and told me that they had a room of around 40-50 basses. I would be in heaven.
