Alder vs. Agathis Body

    I want to build a fretless jazz and i have a agathis body that i could use but i want to know if thatll have a big difference in the tone vs an alder body?

    The difference will be hard to notice, even if you make two otherwise identical and do a true head-to-head comparison.

  5. sound-wise, agathis would sound a little closer to mahogany than alder...but like Musiclogic says, the difference would be subtle.
