ok, one more of that dunno what to buy questions...

there is an alembic excel and warwick fna (one pickup) at the same price at a local store. any opinions?
i played them both and the warwick seemed more versatile, maybe because it has a 3 band eq rather than the alembic´s 2 band.

normally i wouldn´t consider an ibanez, but there is this srx700 (neck thru) which is pretty impressive for a korean made instrument. anyone using it?

it's a matter of sound you prefer. let's your hear decide.

alembic and warwick sounds really different.

personally i'd go with the alembic, i just own a warwick.

i don't consider the ibanez in the same class.
  3. i would go with the warwick fna. fnas can produce just about anytone, f you like a good slap tone and bassy and punchy i would go with fna, or if you are in a heavier band or a funk/groovey fingwerstyle, i would go with the fna too.
for jazz i would go with the aembic, but overall i think the fna is the best choice of the three.
