does anyone elses F-1X have an audible hummmm from the transformer when you switch it on? I'm not talking very loud, just noticeable in a quiet room. I just discovered it's actually called "lamination rattle" and is usually caused by poor mains power.
It's a natural condition and has nothing to do with the power. Potting the transformer can minimize the noise but if it's not audible under normal playing conditions it doesn't really matter all that much.
it would only matter to me using the F-1X as a DI in a sutudio control room. Could you please explain what "potting the transformer" is?
