Alembic Price Check

    How is $1200 for an Excel with a flame maple top and one pickup? I think it is new old stock. Seems to be in great condition, plays great with lotsa growl.

    If it's NOS, depends on how much you like the bass. In other words, if this is a "keeper", go for it. If it's used, you can do better.

    I would recommend not paying more than about $1,000 for a used one, since they regularly come available at $1,000 or less. With NOS, particularly if it's a keeper, you should also get Alembic's warranty so that makes it worth a bit more.
