I'm selling my Zebrano (the best sounding top on a bass IMHO) 1980 Alembic Series I short scale bass. Sounds great, with more bottom than any other Alembic Series bass I've ever heard. This is a great sounding and playing bass in excellent condition. All original. No scratches or nicks on the body, minor scratches on back brass plates. Electronics work perfectly. Included are the blue breakout box, 5-pin cable, and a new hardshell case.

    Features include:

    · Stanley Clarke body shape

    · Zebrawood top and back with mahogany core

    · Maple and Purpleheart neck

    · Satin Finish

    · Mother of Pearl oval fret markers

    · Ebony fingerboard

    · 30.75” scale (Short Scale)

    · Brass hardware

    · Chrome Schaller machine heads

    · Series 1 electronics

I love this bass. Any interest at all in trades? Maybe a 2 for 1. Maybe 2 Alembics for 1? Thanks!

beautiful example. Had I not just bought one I’d be a taker.
This should go easily, good luck.

After pondering, I wonder if you’d like to trade for almost mint condition long scale sc deluxe.
V, q, and toggle for each activator. Pics available upon request. We’d have to negotiate a bit.

Off topic: The brass bridge and saddles can be polished to look brand new. If they're not coated in lacquer just soak them in a product like Brasso overnight and then polish with a cloth. If lacquered, soak in lacquer thinner for an hour and clean them with a soft brush. Parts will look perfect.
Beautiful bass guitar by the way.
