    Forgot to ask about alembic, any experience with their tonal qualities??

    Assuming you mean Alembic pickups; I fitted the J PVF system in my Warwick Thumb. The low pass filter gives it a unique tonality. I like the way the the single tone can go from very dull to very bright in a sweep.

    Yes, I was referring to either the mxy or axy, or the fat boy pickups. I understand they have a unique tone and quick tone changes, just wondered if they can have real deep, thunderous, bass response, or if they were mainly stringy and hollow sounding. Thanks for the advice.
