Why don't you put it in your sig? It would save a bit of time, wouldn't it? Just seems odd to me.

I think there is some kind of addon extention to these type of forums that automatically adds your name or whatever you want when you submit your post.

  3. Because my signature changes all the time?

Or maybe because people don't usually read sigs of people that they know.

And in my case, it just make me feel that if I "yelled" at someone, they know it wasn't personal, that I still respect them.

    Rock on

    Yup, it would save time.

However, I really prefer the personal touch. To me putting your name in a sig is like sending out an unsigned letter with only a return address to show who sent it. Not very personal.

But others don't feel the same as I do. That's cool. It's a personal choice.

I did have my name as my sig for a while. For the reason above, I switched.

Do you think someone would pay me to put their name at the end of all my posts?

    Your name here.

I agree with the original poster.

Your's truly, who truly cares about posting the most intellectually thought out answers to the pertinent questions on talkbass, and tries to make the forums a better place by educating those lower than me and learning from those higher than me so I can obtain the highest level of playing I can, while inspiring other players to raise their own levels of playing no matter if they're better or worse, because in fact I believe this man made scalular evaluation of ones skill is simply a smokescreen instated by the strong to supress the weak, of which the weak should stand up to because it is their virtuous duty to stand up for their own rights, the rights of the people, the rights of mankind, the rights of animals, the rights of trees, the rights of Martians, the right of Xenoblorbs, and the rights of any one or thing I may have missed, because those rights belong to each and every one and thing, not just the strong and mighty, wait, I am strong and mighty, so maybe I should just shut up, so just because you want to know my name,

    [really, did that suck?]

  20. I think of the actual Sig as more of a profile extension than a real signature. In any case, I'm very inconsistent with how I end my posts.

    Sincerely,
