I acquired this bass from another TBer a while back in a trade for a killer Celinder J-Update 4. While I like this bass an awful lot, I have discovered a couple of things since picking it up. First, even though I thought that I was more of an ash/maple guy for years, I am finding that I really seem to prefer alder/rosewood in a J-bass. Second, I have a lot of ash/maple J-basses, including a killer '73 Jazz.

So, in an ideal world, I would consider trading this bass for an Alleva-Coppolo LG4. I might consider other trades (4 or 5-string), but an LG4 would fit into my collection nicely.

I might also consider an outright sale, but I'd like to explore the trade options first.

This bass is in excellent condition. It does not come with an Alleva-Coppolo case/bag, but I did get a decent hard case with it when I traded for it, and that would be included. This bass is up on Jimmy's website as the example of the "LM4 Deluxe." It has the rootbeer finish, white binding, and pearloid blocks. I am told by the original owner that this is the first (only?) bass that Jimmy has made with a birdseye maple board - but I have not confirmed this. It's not an over the top birdseye, but it is a very nice board.

This is not a bass that I am dying to part with, so I'll likely be pretty picky as to what I might consider. And I might just keep it and be happy! :D

    PM me with any questions.

    Tom.

Okay, a potential deal just fell through, so up to the top!

Since several people have asked, I would consider a sale, too.

Some folks had asked about the weight of this bass, and on my scale, it weighs in at 9.0 lbs.
