Not looking for an amp emulator, nor a preamp, "just" a high quality speaker sim/DI to park on the end of my very short efx board for fly ins. What are you using?

[sfx] makes a pedal that splayed either a. Marshal or a Fender ( I think) speaker cab.

I am using an [sfx] Micro Screaminator. It is not a DI, but it is a brickwall filter at 5kHz, emulating what a speaker cut off at.

Do they make the Micro Screaminator anymore? I don't see it on their site. I could use one of them.

BTW, Red Box is great for guitar, horrible for bass.

    Doesn't Radial make one?

  8. I think the Palmer PDI-09 sounds better:)

Justin Meldal-Johnsen is a big fan, too.

It is a custom order. You have to know to ask for it. I was the first person to ask for one. So...no pic on the site.

Radial makes one but it's guitar oriented just like the Red Box.

Before he answers, let me clarify...doesn't sound like crap, but the low end rolloff is way high to accommodate guitarists.

I have a Red Box and an ADA Microcab. The Red Box is currently for sale...

I'd never use the Microcab for actual studio work, but for demos it's great. Ill admit it dies sound better on guitars, but it's got some adjustability in the tone and I've squeezed some decent tones out of it for bass as well.

There is a low end roll off with bass, but not so much to make it unusable.
The joyo is, I believe, a clone of the red box. It blows the behringer emulated di out of the water.
