that has the potential to be one of the best bands ever. oh my..i can't wait.

  2. Always figured something like that would happen. Highlights who the problem maker was in RATM? Don't ya think?

  3. I hope to god they end up on Epic. If they were to go to Interscope, well, all I can say is Limp Bizkit.
  4. Do you reckon they'll play RATM songs at their concerts??

  5. I don't think so, as Cornell doesn't have the same vocal ability(or lackof...?) to deliver the songs. Either that or De La Rocha will sue.

I think for the remaining 3 members of RATM, its all about bringing RATM fans with them. Hopefully they'll keep their political standpoints, and hopefully Cornell shares them. Unless the old RATM fans are 100% comfortable with the exit of Zack and the new style of Rage, those old songs like Guerilla Radio or Bombtrack might not go down too well with fans. Additionally, if the remaining members are as confident with this new move as they think they are, then they might not want to live off of the RATM legacy. But, I wouldn't mind seeing Testify or People Of The Sun with Cornell singing it, would you? Just like I wouldn't mind if they played Black Hole Sun at concerts.

I'll have to say that RATM are one of my favourite bands, and they really showed me the difference between music with meaning and all the other stuff. I just wish them the best, and I know Cornell can do a good job with them.

a very large group of people come up to your computer. they are all wearing the same drab green outfit with the same drab green hat with a red star on it. a woman comes out of the group and speaks

"comrade, this is music related thread, no? this belongs in glorious Miscellaneous forum, to share music-related threadness with the people, no? we shall take it there, comrade, for the glory of the revolution!"

"vive la revolution! power to the prolitariat!"

    hee hee!

hell yeah, we need to start the Manifesto Catering Company.
  15. Hang on I must of been asleep, RATM with Soundgarden's singer that should make for an interesting mix.
And for those that say Zack's voice wasn't that great I agree but I think it was the passion with which he sang his songs that made them sound great.
  16. That would be an awesome group. However, would Cornell have to convert to socialism? In fact, come to think of it,aren't the remaining members of RATM very wealthy?Ahhh, the sweeet smell of capitalism!!!

i hope they leave all the politics out of it.

a bands job is to make good music - if you're listening to a band because of what it thinks politically that's not really a good reason.

this band - politics aside - should be great. the whole band is talented enough now for them to do whatever they want and have it sound good. they don't have to rest on the crutch of political dissention to be accepted.

  20. Ah, so you're shallow. Gotcha.

And BTW, who are you to tell me whether my reasons for liking certain music are right/wrong, good/bad? Without ethics and beliefs music is reduced to a series of frequencies, pushed through a speaker and interpreted by your brain. When you look for 'good music' without any personal feeling from the artist, you are looking for the arrangement of frequencies that stimulates your sensory receptors the most. Many theories exist that this is the arrangement that mimics the human heartbeat.

And I'm sure Jeff Berlin or any other serious musician would be happy to know you enjoy his music without considering his motivation behind it:rolleyes:
