american deluxe jazz bass V ash

    i just got a promotion at work and am thinking of getting my self and american deluxe 5 string ash jazz bass. i was just worndering what those of you that play this bass think of it? i'v messed around with it at my music shop but what do you guys and gals that gig with it think?

    better a late response than none, right?

    I have the amber/alder version with a maple/maple neck. Can't say enough good things about it. I replaced the stock bridge with a Badass V BUT there really isn't a good reason to replace the stock bridge...it does it's job just fine. I did it more for the look and feel.

    The SCN pickups and 18 volt preamp are great. The B string is finally up to par. Took Fender long enough to get that B string decent let me tell you. (I base this remark on previously owning a 2002 version that had a horrible B string.)
