    Beautiful 1964 American Standard double bass. It's rare to find one of these in such nice condition. No neck breaks or major damage - original finish in excellent condition with just some minor wear on the upper left side and a few minor scratches here and there. Serial # 3042 All original except for a nice replacement adjustable endpin. Beautiful big fat sound. made by the Cleveland Musical Instrument Co. the American Standard basses are considered by many to be the best of the classic american laminate basses. Similar to the more well known Kay basses but with a slightly bigger body and bigger sound to go with it. Local pickup only in the Los Angeles area unless you want to arrange for shipping.
