I have to get this off my chest. My Thunton Power Bass is beginning to sound wimpy. I adjust the ohms switch on the Quantum head and the sound coming of the 4x12 Iminent cab is just not what it was. Should I start shopping for new gear, try better to cop Geddy Sheehan licks or get off talkbass and start practicing?
  2. Thunton Power Bass  That's a new one for me. Tell me more about your amp.

I'm wondering if this thread should have been started on April 1st?

If I'm mistaken and the amp has an impedance switch, one could assume that it's a tube amp and perhaps the output tubes need replacing. Or the bass has an internal preamp and the battery is shot.

Didn't Geddy Sheehan play in a band with Yngwie Ray Vaughan?
