Well, Ive played a few Ashdowns and really liked the sound. When I replaced my Fender Bassman 60 when it up and died, I almost bought an Ashdown Electric Blue with the 1x12. 2x10s should sound even nicer. I've played a few GKs, but, for some reason they never caught my ear. My vote would be for the Ashdown.
as proud owner of an Ashdown Mag Mon 12-200 I'll say Ashdown as well
Gallien's are way better. Dont own one but I've played em. I bet they're better.
Love the name 2-mny-drummers.
Thanks for all the posts, and irs true...there are just too many drummers out there, and guitarists are dime a dozen, but us bassists are one-of-a-kind!
I think the Ashdown would blow away the GK.
I prefer the tone of the Ashdown over GK, plus with 2-10" speakers you have a better chance of being heard over the single speaker in the GK.
If i get the ashdown, then later i can buy the ashdown 15" cab and then have a stack...cool...there is nothing better than a color coordinated stack...
not with the electric blue series
that's why I went for a Mag (wish I could've swung one from the ABM line)
thats whta i was talking about, there are only combos in the electric blue series
200 watt 1x12 combo with jack for an external 8 ohm cabinet.
the EB doesn't have an output for a second cabinet
Are you insulting my sexual orientation?
go ahead and buy the electric blue combo and a 15" cabinet if you'd like
Forget it, didn't see what model it was. Ashdown all the way even though is they had the same power, I would take the GK. Definitly the GK
i don't want the 15" one, I want the two 10" one
