    I got a big problem.
In one of my friends homestudio, when I plug my bass through my amp DI (Ashdown ABM500 evoII) into the computer I get a big noise, you know like a breath..
I've tried to put my bass into my amp, line out to a DI, to the computer and it's ok.. no breath..
    I dont understand why ! ! !
I've already try with another amp DI (Hartke3500) and it's the same problem..
I am sure that it is not a jack or XLR problem, i've tried with several..
If you understood me, can u help ??

Try plugging the amp into a different electical outlet, sometimes that works for me.

When a signal is amplified, you'll get some hiss and I'm gathering the sound card input is adding to that in a sense. Try using a passive DI if you have one. My sound guy complains because the DI on my amp has a hiss so I use my passive one.
