amp for an Yamaha RBX170

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by B4MV, Mar 19, 2009.

  1. hey everyone.

i'm new here and am just getting into bass. i am going to purchase a yamaha RBX170, as it's in my price range and i have heard resonably good reports about it.

i'm just looking for an amp that will do small jam sessions as well as practice in my room.

not too pricey, as in nothing over $200.

    hope you can help.

BTW, i play metal and rock.

for a small practice amp under $200, a 15 watt fender rumble might do the job and if you could add 50 bucks more maybe you can get The 60 watt version.

you could also check out GK backline 110 its just a little over $200. and for 70watts this is a good enough amp for a living room band practice.

    hope this helps.

  3. thanks mate

i've used a rumble 70 watt before on the same bass, the sound was pretty good so i think i might get that one.
