amp head problem

running backline 600 (300 watt) through avatar 4 by 10 cab. Last two weeks the red light protector light comes on and clips/cuts out for a second. I feel like it happens after about 30 minutes of playing. I am not playing any louder than normal. It also cut down to a low growl volumne for a second before coming back on. What may be my proble,?
