Long time no talk you guys. How are you guys? Here is a problem I am currently facing

I was at my gig with my Trace elliot 7210H combo. We were playing our set as usual and my guitarist informed me that my amp was making weird noises. It was hissing very loudly. I was wondering what that could be and lowered my volume on the bass and it kept on making the hissing noises. I thought it could be the cable not fitting in right. I tried another amp (the house ampeg SVT amp) and that one worked no problems. Anyone might know what could be wrong with it? Please shine some light on me :)

Could be any one of a number of things. Where was your treble set? Does the amp have a horn/tweeter with an attenuator that accidentally got bumped up? Was the power dirty from the wall outlet? Were you using a wireless? Bad cord? Temporary electrical interference? Does the amp do the same thing when plugged in at home? Were any effects used? Does it do it with different basses/possible bad ground on your bass? Etc. etc.

IT will occur even though i don't have my bass or anything connected, just the power to the amp :(
