Just for grins I decided to A/B my old Hartke 2000 with my new rig, Alembic F-1x and QSC USA850, into the same cab - my Boogie Diesel 210. The Hartke, pushing 120watts, was LOUDER! It sounds nowhere near as good but my QSC is 270watts at 8ohms and this really surprised me. I set the preamp and gain at 12 o'clock on both rigs and this kind of worries me. The QSC also tends to clip. Any advice? I did search the forum and found a similer thread, but it didn't really answer my question. Think there's something wrong here?

Oh yeah, I turned the Solid State pre down on the Hartke and that seemed to help, but I would think there would be a load of difference. Would a BBE Maximizer suck any signal away? I might try my brothers Mackie amp and see if that makes a difference.
