amp setting for bassman 100

    Does anyone have a good slap/funk settings for the bassman 100?

    not a great slap sound no matter what but you're going to want the bass between noon and 2, above that it get's pretty mushy, brite switch on, treble 11 o'clock to 3 o'clock to your taste. This is based on an SF Bassman (the 50 watter) and also the normal channel of a Pro Reverb. The normal channels of those amps are pretty similar. If you really want a good slap tone out of a Fender, your'e going to want outboard EQ ...

    Now that amp has killer finger style tone... I use the 50 watter and occaisionally the Pro to drive a single 15" JBL for a very warm rootsy finger style tone.

    Thanks 100 is a nice amp, just not a slappin' machine IMO. Your mileage may vary!
