i currently have an old peavey combo 300. i am interested in upgrading to a 4x10 cab with amp. it was also suggested to me that i could get a 2x10 cab and just plug it into my peavey. the things im looking for are:
    1-deep punchy bass for rock
    2-a midrange driver for funk
4-light and/or easy to move (wheels on the bottom, etc)
my peavey is pretty boomy i think, and doesn't sound all that great. adding a 2x10 would be cheap, but i don't think it would improve the sound by a lot (not by as much as the cab costs anyway). for cab/head combos i've been looking at the hartke 3500+4x10 cab (the transporter one looks nice and light, but i really want a midrange driver). ampeg i think is a little out of my price range. i also looked at some atomics that sounded pretty good. anyone have any suggestions?

That "Midrange Driver" that you are talking about is really:

    1) Its called Horn Tweeter
2)Its not for MIDRANGE, it is for High Range ie. : 3KHz to 16KHz

    So I Suggest
Carvin RL410T and the power amp the R600.
Now, there is a great combo, the RC210 has a 600 Watt Head with a 2x10 Cab.

    Check them out.
