    All,

I'm looking for an amp tech in the Los Angeles area who can fix a 1975 Traynor tube amp. The characteristics I'm looking for are:

    A. Does top quality work
    B. Is reliable
    C. Has the time and bandwidth to take on new customers/jobs

I realize that A and B usually rule out C, but I'm hoping folks more familiar with the scene down there can recommend someone they know or have dealt with before.

Thanks in advance for any tips!

    Stumbo,

Some of the info on that thread is a little out of date, but I did get a couple of good leads from the list.

    Thanks for the linkage!

I would check into Bob Dixon/Amphole in Burbank. I have not used them, but he comes highly recommended. When I lived in LA, I used Don Butler, a British amp(and everything else)wizard, but he seems to have dropped out of the game.

I've already been in contact with one guy, but if that falls through, Bob is my next choice.

Either Bob at Amphole in Burbank as has already been mentioned, or Revamp in LA. I've had work done at both and they're both great. Flip of the coin between the two, I'd trust and recommend either.
