I just got a 4X10 cab. It has an AMPEG emblem on the front,
and a tag on the back that says SVT 4ohms. I don't know what model cab i have? Two of the speakers are blown and I
want to repair or replace them. The speakers are 32ohms.
So i don't understand how the cab is playing at 4ohms.
    Please help.Thanks.

Are you sure that the driver's RE aren't 3.2 ohms?

Is there a serial # on the magnet?

Sorry if that doesn't help... That's all I can think of currently.

That makes sense. The reading on a DMM will almost always be lower than 4 ohms. 3.2 makes all the sense on the world.

Four 4-ohm speakers in series/parallel would present a final load of 4 ohms, which is what the cabinet states.

    Is it ported?
Does it have a fabric grill or a metal one?

I assume it an SVT410HLF since it say SVT, but if it has a metal grill and is built like a tank and has a oval A on the front, it's a PR and you need cast speakers.

These numbers are on the back of the speaker.

The grill is covered in fabric.
